Who Runs Captain Cooks

Two companies. The brand is managed by Fresh Horizons Ltd, holder of Kahnawake licence 00972 — the commission’s certificate shows the permit held since 1 November 2000 and valid to 16 May 2029. The website is owned and operated by Apollo Entertainment Ltd, a Maltese company (C 45483). A Maltese company number is not a Malta Gaming Authority licence: Captain Cooks holds no MGA licence and no UK Gambling Commission licence. The UK domain simply redirects to Luxury Casino’s UK site, which is licensed on its own.

Captain Cooks is one of 16 Casino Rewards member casinos, alongside Luxury, Yukon Gold, Grand Mondial and Quatro. They share the loyalty programme, the support desk and the bonus structure, and the withdrawal cap for big winners is counted across all of them. JackpotCity and Ruby Fortune are Palace Group brands and have nothing to do with this network.

What the eCOGRA Seal Does and Does Not Tell You

The seal is current, 9 December 2025 to 8 December 2026, and eCOGRA is also the auditor behind the payout reports. The latest covers April to June 2026: 96.14% across all games, 96.09% on slots, 97.42% on table games. Read the small print: the figure is calculated from Casino Rewards’ systems network-wide, not for Captain Cooks alone, and the period is a quarter, not a month. It tells you the group pays out roughly what its games are set to pay. It says nothing about cashier speed or bonus terms.

The track record is real. Casino Rewards lists an $8,453,754.28 Mega Moolah win at Captain Cooks on 16 January 2017 from a 50-cent bet, and a €4,365,843 Mega Moolah win in March 2018. The $5 Offer: 100 Spins on the Mega Money Wheel

Deposit the $5 minimum within 7 days of registering and you get 100 free spins on Mega Money Wheel at $0.10 each — $10 of play for $5, sold as “100 Chances To Win $1 Million”. Three things the banner skips:

• Spin winnings are credited as bonus funds, and first-deposit bonus funds sit under 200x play-through. A $40 win is a $40 bonus balance with $8,000 of slots play between you and a withdrawal.
• The terms call the game Mega Money Wheel and nothing else. They do not say it is Mega Moolah or part of a progressive network, so neither do we.
• Only the top prize can be converted to cash, on request to support and before you wager it. There is no general “jackpot wins are exempt from wagering” rule, whatever other reviews say.

Five dollars for a hundred cheap spins is a fair price for the entertainment. Just price it as entertainment.

The Match Bonuses and the 200x Math

Four match bonuses follow, worth up to $475 in total. Wagering is a play-through on the bonus amount; bets from both your cash and your bonus balance count toward it.

Put the audited slot payout to work on deposit 2. At 96.09%, every $1 wagered costs about 3.9 cents on average, so $20,000 of turnover costs roughly $782 in expected losses to free a $100 bonus. You would need to run very hot to come out ahead. Deposit 3 is a different proposition: $4,500 of turnover is about $176 in expected losses — still a cost, but a normal one for an offshore casino.

• 48 hours pending, then processed during the following business day.
• Identity verification must be complete before a withdrawal is processed. Do it the day you sign up, not the day you win.
• Method times from the network FAQ: cards 3 working days, e-wallets 1–3, CAD EFT/eCheck 2–3, direct bank transfer 6–10. A method you have never used before can take 5–7 working days the first time.
• Minimum withdrawal $50; $300 by bank wire. Bank transfers cost $50 under 3,000 units, $100 over.
• The $4,000-a-week cap applies only to players who win “substantially” more than they have deposited across all Casino Rewards casinos, and the casino can raise or lower it at its discretion. Ontario Players

Ontario gets its own site, ontario.captaincooks.casino, run by Apollo Entertainment Ltd under an AGCO Internet Gaming Operator licence and listed on the iGaming Ontario register. Because the Casino Rewards brands share cashier rules, loyalty and the 200x-then-30x pattern, the choice comes down to the entry offer. Captain Cooks asks for $5; the smallest Quatro tier needs $10. Captain Cooks is a legitimate, 25-year-old Canadian-facing casino with a licence you can look up, an auditor you can name and a winners list with real dates on it. That earns the 3.5. It loses the rest for things the marketing does not lead with: 200x on the first two bonuses, a $4,000-a-week clause for big winners, five to six working days to a card, a game count the casino will not publish, and a lobby and support desk shared with 15 sister sites. None of it is hidden — it is all in the terms — but it is the difference between “a good $5 bet” and “a good casino”.
